The Use of Trained Border Collies

Prized for their intelligence, the Border Collie is the premier herding dog among all breeds.  In place of loud barking or emphatic movements, they use only their eye to scare off nuisance birds.  Geese and other fowl associate this behavioral stare with that of their natural predators such as wolves and coyotes.  When this action is repeated, over time, the birds begin to view the area as dangerous and will seek out a safer enviornment to feed and raise their young

Unique Style

The predatory stare of the Border Collie is a trait past downed from their wolf cousins and has been perpetuated in the breed for hundreds of years. This hunter mimicry is essential in ridding properties of unwanted  feathery pests.  However, the birds are never in any actual danger.

Extensive training and socialization methods are employed to ensure our dogs are able to work in all types of situations and a variety of environments.  From riding on/in water and land vehicles, to working in and around large groups of people, our dogs will always perform their duties effectively and efficiently.  There is no job too tough.  

No Gimmicks

With a myriad of products and tactics making false claims and spouting pseudoscience, it's easy to get caught up in clever marketing schemes offering few results (if any). Dummy owls and coyotes, noise makers, laser devices and even the use of flying drones may offer some initial relief to intrusive flocks of geese and birds, but there is little to no lasting effect for any of these methods. The practices employed by WIngin' It Goose Control have a proven record of success with the added benefit of scientific backing.
